Lightly Killed Chickens

This USA Today story is so bizarre that I'm not sure where to start. What I find particularly amusing is that you've got PETA arguing about methods of slaughtering chickens. I wonder how their vegetarian members, which must be quite numerous, feel about this. Perhaps we should coin a new oxymoron here: pragmatic extremism.

The whole thing is excellent fodder for a Monty Python sketch, a la Crunchy Frog...

We use only the finest baby frogs, dew-picked and flown from Iraq, cleansed in the finest quality spring water, lightly killed, and then sealed in a succulent Swiss quintuple smooth treble cream milk chocolate envelope, and lovingly frosted with glucose.
